Our Story

An Elevated Vision

At the James C. Kennedy Mountain campus at the °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡, all students immerse themselves in the holistic approach to education that sets °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡ apart: the 4D Experience. The four integrated dimensions—advancing intellectual growth, exploring character, promoting well-being, and pursuing lives and careers of purpose—will guide every program and activity on the mountain campus, just as they do on our urban campus.

The Kennedy Mountain Campus is for the entire °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡ community, and all students—from those studying music to those exploring the sciences—have an opportunity to engage with this space throughout their time at °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡. Here, there is something for every learner to expand upon and apply to their studies on °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡â€™s urban campus. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, these experiences are available with no additional financial burden to our students or their families.

Give until it feels good.

A Legacy of Outdoor Adventure and Conservation

James C. Kennedy

The Kennedy Mountain Campus was made possible by a generous gift from James C. Kennedy because he shared in the vision to add an intentional set of outdoor experiences for students at °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡. As a °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡ student in the late 60s, Mr. Kennedy spent many weekends in the Rocky Mountains, hiking, biking, skiing, hunting, fishing, and camping. These moments in the mountains set the stage for his lifelong commitment to the outdoors, a conservation ethic, and the values of being outdoors for one’s well-being.

Mr. Kennedy’s visionary gift allowed °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡ to acquire the property in 2021 and launch programming in 2022. Your gift to the Kennedy Mountain Campus Fund helps us secure this vision and legacy for generations of °ÄÃÅÓéÀÖ³¡ students.
